Reporting to Head of Strategy, this insight-led role supports the development of e-Commerce DTC strategies and acceleration of brands across the digital space.

We are looking for a curious Researcher, with a passion for generating compelling data-driven stories and ultimately helping consumers to see the world in new way. Working collaboratively with our team of specialists, you will manage the planning and execution of research projects that will underpin the DTC strategies for our e-Commerce clients. Using a complimentary combination of qualitative and quantitative approaches, insight and data will be used to unveil our clients’ competitive advantage.

key responsibilities:

  • Create insight and data-led stories through thorough research and diagnosis, for clients across domestic and international markets 
  • Plan, design and conduct research activities to meet the needs of business goals and research requirements 
  • Be confident conducting and interpretating qualitative and quantitative research techniques – deck research, website analytics, focus groups, surveys 
  • Analyse, understand and clearly articulate international market nuances across key metrics including behavioural, economic, digital and social factors 
  • Conduct user testing research translating user insights into actionable UX, design or service recommendations  
  • Be comfortable sharing research and insight with senior team and challenging them on their understanding and assumptions 
  • Recommend and take ownership of multiple data sources and research tools 
  • Conduct customer insight, market trends and competitor activity reports, for both strategic and tactical purposes 
  • Partner with third parties to lead on research projects where relevant, advising on the most appropriate methodology to meet client requirements 
  • Support the strategy team in facilitate engaging workshops, to present brand and digital approaches 
  • Proactively collaborate with trading and marketing teams to deliver data-driven optimisations and recommendations, for ongoing clients 

operational skills required

  • At least 3 years’ experience as a researcher 
  • Ability to reframe a problem through insight and data 
  • Experience in using and generating your own multitude of research tools 
  • Sound knowledge of UX/ design research is preferred 
  • Experience of owning research projects (agency or client side) 
  • generating your own research tools 
  • Confident in applying quantitative and qualitative techniques to business challenges 
  • A storyteller who can confidently and clearly communicate research findings in a compelling way  
  • A multitasker who can deliver on time and prioritise requests

Location:Office based – We’re conveniently located on King Street in Manchester City Centre. Hours 9-5, (9-4 Friday) with flexibility.
