Digital Data Analyst

Reporting to Head of Digital, we’re looking to hire a data analyst to help build a strong data infrastructure to power decision making and help clients and colleagues understand the data we have available so we can use it to drive performance.

About us

LaBrand Agency is a new to market International e-Commerce Agency providing solutions for ambitious DTC brands.

We’re one of the fastest growing independent digital agencies in the UK. We’re also a place where careers genuinely flourish, rather than get stifled due to lack of progress or resources.

You won’t find layers and layers of management here. Instead, you’ll discover a buzzing environment where bright, innovative and visionary people are encouraged to lead the way forward, and are supported by senior management to help develop to your full potential.

Our Values: Passion, Vision, Elevation, Immersion

Our purpose: is to ‘make the complex simple’ for our clients.

Your role:

We’re looking for a Data Analyst with a passion for e-Commerce to play a central role in driving client performance forward. Someone who can help join the dots of multi-channel marketing campaigns and provide analysis, not just reporting for clients.

We work with multiple data sources and it’s crucial that we can break down silos and give our clients a central view of their whole ecosystem, from impression to checkout, and beyond to lifetime value, tying activity to ROI.

You’ll also help build the data infrastructure and connections to pull data from various marketing platforms (Google Ads, Facebook, HubSpot etc) and combine it with data from client CMS, logistics management and more.

Google Data Studio is our platform of choice for creating dashboards but we’ll welcome ideas on how we can continue to evolve and provide really innovative analysis solutions for clients. If it helps us do something better, nothing is off-limits.

key responsibilities

  • You will own our data infrastructure, and, supported by the wider team (technical and non-technical) you’ll have a lot of freedom to develop analysis solutions for clients
  • Building dashboards and reports for various stakeholders, giving insight into marketing (PPC, Social Media, SEO, Email etc) and operational (delivery, breakages, NPS etc) activities
  • Working with developers to implement and maintain tracking, keeping up to date with platform developments (e.g. facebook iOS14) to keep client reporting up to date
  • Supporting strategy, operations and creative teams with insight and data to guide decisions and campaign planning
  • Championing data for decision making and helping build a data-first approach to client and agency decision making
  • Spending time with colleagues and clients, helping them understand trends

Key software we use or are looking to use

The software you might be familiar with isn’t so important, we’re looking more for someone with strong data experience.
Google Analytics

Google Data Studio

Microsoft Clarity

Google Tag Manager

Visual Website Optimizer

Google Optimize

Various Email Marketing Platforms

Must have skills/experience

  • It goes without saying, you’ll be a genuine data person. Maths qualifications aren’t a prerequisite but you must be good with, and have a passion for data
  • You’ll have a real knack for spotting trends and helping a range of people make sense of and use their data to make decisions
  • You will be at least an intermediate user of Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets with a wide range of formulas and data visualisation techniques in your repertoire
  • You’ll have used a range of data tools such as Google Analytics, HotJar, Microsoft Clarity. Google Analytics is the only real prerequisite as it’s more about how you use the data and different places use different tools
  • You will have used data visualisation tools such as Google Data Studio, Power BI, Tableau or similar. We use Data Studio but if you can bring an eye for visualising data, we can help with your software skills
  • You will understand metrics like impressions, clicks, click through rate, bounce rate etc and be able to build reports that tie performance back to client KPIs
  • An ability to forecast performance to assist client supply chain planning, which will sit closely alongside your ability to spot and understand trends
  • It’s important that we put clients and their customers at the heart of what we do so we’re looking for someone with a solid appreciation of user experience and how to use data to build and test hypotheses to improve customer journeys

Nice to have skills / experience

  • Experience of Extract, Transform, Load processes, possibly using, Supermetrics or similar, to connect to and centralise client data for reporting
  • Google Tag Manager experience – You’ll have tech support but if you’re already familiar with adding tracking yourself, this is a bonus
  • If you’ve built data warehouses with Google Big Query this will be very interesting. You’ll have dev support to do it with our clients and it is something we’re looking to develop
  • Experience of helping clients identify and set their KPIs. We’re working with clients who are new to DTC so providing them with guidance on benchmarks will help build relationships

Personal skills

  • Strong character who relishes the prospect of working in a growing agency and keen to play a leading role in building our data function
  • You’ll be naturally curious, and not afraid to ask lots of questions to find the best answers
  • Good collaborator – We’re a close-knit team and need someone who works well with project managers, account managers, designers, marketing and developers
  • Data is crucial and you will take pride in your work, with high standards and a keen attention to detail

Location: Office based – We’re conveniently located on King Street in Manchester City Centre. Hours 9-5, (9-4 Friday) with flexibility.
